Okay I am a Little Behind... So here it is

This is Aspen @ 7:00 in the morning! Time to
go to work!
This female mule deer was just hanging outside
of our kitchen window in Basalt, CO. She was
very nice to pose for my picture.

Here is the house that we actually decorated.
They were awesome very rustic with a modern
twist.
These are the mountains that it sat between.
Amazing views, horses on the hills, and rams.
The Frying Pan River runs right below the house
I have a picture, but just didn't add it!
Finally, this is a picture of my feet buried in snow.
2 major snow storms came in that week. It was fun
for that week but not so much when your trying to
fly home.
Okay, so here is the story of Aspen. If you know me pretty well you know that I don't have the best of luck! So, as part of my job I got to travel to Aspen to decorate a house. The house itself was not in Aspen and we only stayed there for 3 days. The house was in Basalt which is about 30 min. away. So we stayed mostly in the second house that our customers parents had built. The decorating went wonderfully but there were oops here and there not with the decorating aspect. So, on Sunday we didn't have much to do because we had to wait for more furniture to arrive the following week. So we decided it would be fun to have mimosas. We had seen a bottle of Champagne in our fridge back at the ADU, so our boss went to go grab it and some snacks. Well, first of all the cork on the champagne broke and showing that this bottle was very aged. So we finally figured a way to get the champagne took a sip and almost spit it out. We drink all the champagne.
The next day it was back to work. Everything was going well, except for that evening. The owner who has not come to the house because he is so frustrated called his wife who was there. They get in this discussion and Andee(owner) seems pretty upset. Well come to find out Macky(owner) was very upset because we drank his 1980 bottle of champagne. Yep, he had been saving it for when they stay in the house the first night. OOPs, he told us we could drink whatever we wanted!!!! So this is just the beginning of my bad kharma.
After we finished the house we stayed in Aspen the last night or so we thought. Again, another snow storm hit so our flight got cancelled, so they could let the others who were cancelled on our flights. So, the next morning we wake up to see if we are going to be flying out, nope cancelled again! Now, most people would see this as an opportunity to stay in Aspen a little longer. However, when you have worked all week with the same people, and drama for your momma over a boy, then yea you might want to leave. Finally Sunday is beautiful and we are able to leave of course we get there and our flight was delayed! Little did we know it would be for 5hrs. in this tiny little airport with tons a people. It was kind of like the game sardines, except not as fun! Any whoo, to explain the 5hrs. ... first a private plane gets a flat tire on the only run way. This took 2hrs, so while that happened our plane had to land somewhere else to gas up. While going down to get gas they hit a flock of birds. Yep, it just kept getting better. So we finally at 6:30 get to bored our plane and now everyone is worried they are going to miss there connecting flight. So we land in chicago and see that our flight was delayed. Awesome, good news! However, we taxi for an 1hr before pulling into the terminal. If you have flown to Chicago you know the airport is huge. Well, of course our flight is across the entire airport. So we run as fast as we can. WE get to bored the plane then we sit for another 1hr waiting on the gas truck. Finally @ 2 am we made it home!! Word to the wise don't ever fly UNited! Overall, besides the mess of trying to get home I got to visit with my friend Gina and Aspen.
